Odis was 71.<\/p>\n<p>Shumpert \u2014 who played for the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, and Brooklyn Nets \u2014 shared a heartfelt message on Instagram Oct. 27.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDown goes the King\u2026a sweet goodbye to the greatest man I\u2019ll ever know,\u201d Iman wrote in a caption with several photos of his late father. \u201cYou can take your rest pop, u did ur s\u2013t I promise. I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ll ever fit ur shoes but ima have em on everyday anyway. I love you man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He concluded his message with a broken heart and dove emoji, writing, \u201cRest In Paradise Odis Wayne Shumpert II.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Odis was the father of four sons \u2014 Otis III, Ahrii, Iman, and Kasani \u2014 and the husband to L\u2019Tanya Shumpert Nee Moseley for 44 years.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DQcjaFGETDl\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\"background:#FFF;border:0;border-radius:3px;box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15);margin:1px;max-width:500px;min-width:326px;padding:0;width:calc(100% - 2px)\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Iman Shumpert&#8217;s divorce from Teyana Taylor<\/h2>\n<p>There has been a lot of changes in Iman&#8217;s personal life since he last played in the NBA during the 2020-21 season. Prior to the passing of his father, his marriage to multi-hyphenate entertainer, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/entertainment\/teyana-taylor-made-secret-divorce-decision-from-iman-shumpert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teyana Taylor, officially ended last year.<\/a> In 2023, the couple separated and the following year their divorce was finalized. The couple shares two daughters: Iman Tayla \u201cJunie\u201d Shumpert Jr. and Rue Rose Shumpert. The couple tied the knot in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The two have been in a legal battle for quite sometime despite their divorce being finalized in 2024. In August 2025, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/celebrity\/teyana-taylor-ordered-pay-ex-iman-shumpert-70k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Taylor was found in contempt of court for violating the divorce agreement<\/a> when she disclosed details of their divorce settlement. The singer was ordered to pay Iman&#8217;s attorney fees which totaled to $70,000.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report from Realtor.com back in March, Taylor received four properties as well as a $300,000 Maybach, a $70,000 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and a tour bus. Iman was ordered to pay $8,000 a month in child support and fund his children&#8217;s private school education.<\/p>\n<p>The former <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/celebrity\/iman-shumpert-reminisces-on-teyana-taylor-marriage-amid-divorce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBA star opened up about his divorce<\/a> on an episode of Tap In With It back in April.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;ve been divorced a year now,\u201d he said. \u201cWe&#8217;ve got joint custody of the kids, so I got to see the kids when I got to see the kids. She&#8217;s got to see the kids when she&#8217;s got to see the kids. Which, it&#8217;s cool.
