Seth Meyers<\/a> on Monday put Donald Trump<\/a> on blast after the president attacked the \u201cLate Night<\/a>\u201d host on social media, calling the comedian a \u201ctruly deranged lunatic\u201d for mocking his recent complaints<\/a> about U.S. Navy aircraft carriers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Trump \u2014 in an unhinged Truth Social post<\/a> over the weekend \u2014 claimed that Meyers \u201cendlessly\u201d discussed electric catapults (or part of a carrier used to help aircraft achieve faster takeoff speeds) during his Thursday monologue<\/a> before calling the host \u201c100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Meyers addressed Trump\u2019s \u201cranting and raving\u201d about him: \u201cYou can say I\u2019m untalented, you can say I\u2019m deranged. But I\u2019m not the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers! You\u2019re the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The comedian tossed to a supercut showing Trump discussing aircraft catapults on several occasions including comments from his trip to Japan last week, where he asked whether steam-powered or \u201cstupid\u201d electric-powered aircraft catapults were \u201cbetter.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cUntil you said something, I didn\u2019t even know aircraft carriers had catapults!\u201d Meyers quipped.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Meyers proceeded to challenge the president to ask his friends if he\u2019s the \u201ctalk about catapult\u201d guy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cOh, friends are, how would I describe this to you, OK, so they\u2019re like \u2014 they\u2019re like people who enjoy spending time with you independent of financial and legal favors you can grant them,\u201d Meyers joked.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He later continued, \u201cSo you can say whatever you want about me, that is your First Amendment right \u2014 which I have, too, right? We all have it, right?
