Victoria Beckham<\/strong><\/a> stood by husband David Beckham<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s side as the former soccer star was officially knighted by King Charles III<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The couple looked radiant on Tuesday, November 4, while stepping out at Windsor Castle for the ceremony. The retired athlete\u2019s parents, Sandra<\/strong> and David<\/strong>, were also present for the honor. (The family provided a united front amid the ongoing drama surrounding the extended Beckham clan<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

David, 50, received knighthood on Tuesday for his services to sport and charity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t be prouder. People know how patriotic I am \u2014 I love my country,\u201d David told the BBC<\/em><\/a> of his newfound title. \u201cI\u2019ve always said how important the monarchy is to my family. I\u2019m lucky enough to have traveled around the world, and all people want to talk to me about is our monarchy. It makes me proud.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDavid Beckham is wishing Prince William a special birthday after the soccer star\u2019s recent knighthood. \u201cHappy Birthday Prince William x,\u201d Beckham, 50, wrote via his Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 21, over a picture of the pair. In a subsequent post, also shared on his Stories, Beckham shared another photo of himself smiling while shaking [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The former soccer player quipped that Charles, 76, was \u201cquite impressed\u201d with his suit for the occasion. David said that Victoria designed the outfit, which was inspired by some of Charles\u2019 old looks.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years, and he definitely inspired this look,\u201d David added. \u201cIt was something that my wife made me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Victoria, meanwhile, opted to wear a navy blue dress with a matching fascinator.<\/p>\n

It was announced in June that David would officially receive the knighthood<\/a>. The honor is a long time coming for the British star.<\/p>\n

This past May, a source told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively that David \u201creally wants the knighthood\u201d<\/a> because of his dedication to England.<\/p>\n

\u201c[David] loves the royal family and even queued on his own to pay tribute to the Queen when she died,\u201d the source added at the time. \u201cHe\u2019s old-school and respectful.\u201d<\/p>\n

When it was announced that David was finally up for the knighthood, he couldn\u2019t help but gush over the honor<\/a>.<\/p>\n
