What are country music\u2019s greatest songs? You can hear them on Friday, thanks to the release of a new album called <\/span>OPRY100: Country\u2019s Greatest Songs<\/span><\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The 20-track album\u00a0is comprised of never-before-released live recordings from the Opry stage, all chosen from the fan-voted <\/span>Opry 100 Greatest Songs<\/span><\/a> list. Fans can continue voting for the #1 all-time greatest country song through Nov. 14.<\/span><\/p>\n

The live recordings are a mix of cover versions and original live performances. For example, you\u2019ll hear the Oak Ridge Boys<\/strong> singing \u201cElvira\u201d from 1980 and the late Keith Whitley<\/strong> singing \u201cDon\u2019t Close Your Eyes\u201d in 1988. There\u2019s also\u00a0Luke Combs<\/strong> covering \u201cTennessee Whiskey\u201d in 2016 and Kelsea Ballerini<\/strong> doing \u201cI Was Country When Country Wasn\u2019t Cool\u201d earlier this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the album includes two \u201cfull circle mixes\u201d combining historic and modern performances of the same song. George Jones<\/strong> and Alan Jackson<\/strong> are both heard performing \u201cHe Stopped Loving Her Today\u201d from, respectively, 1993 and 2013, while Marty Robbins<\/strong> and Marty Stuart<\/strong> both sing \u201cEl Paso,\u201d from, respectively, 1981 and 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other artists featured on the album include Darius Rucker<\/strong>, Carrie Underwood<\/strong>, Dolly Parton<\/strong>, Randy Travis<\/strong>, Reba McEntire<\/strong> and Ashley McBryde<\/strong>. You can also watch the <\/span>performances on YouTube.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The official 100th anniversary of the Opry comes on Nov. 28.<\/span><\/p>\n
