If the sun\u2019s shining a little brighter and the city\u2019s starting to look like a perfect Thanksgiving Gossip Girl episode, that\u2019s probably because it\u2019s Election Day<\/a>, and people across the boroughs are getting out the vote<\/a>. Naturally, your average New Yorkers have been participating in early voting over the last week and change. But today, we\u2019ve got our eye on all the local celebrities heading to the polls.<\/p>\n In the months leading up to the city\u2019s tense mayoral race, we\u2019ve seen a lot of high-profile folks throw their weight behind the democratic socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani<\/a>, from astrologer Chani Nicholas<\/a> and actor Mark Ruffalo<\/a> to Kamala Harris\u2019s stepdaughter Ella Emhoff<\/a> and Senator Bernie \u201cFeel the Bern\u201d Sanders<\/a>. And then there\u2019s Amy Schumer, who posted a selfie<\/a> to her Instagram Story with a \u201cVote by Mail\u201d sticker and the phrase \u201crhymes with duomo.\u201d<\/p>\n On a brighter note, here are all the NYC celebrities proudly exercising their right to vote \u2014 and showing off their stickers \u2014 this November.<\/p>\n The comedian and Wicked actor wore a Zohran shirt to vote early in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n The Sex and the City actress posted a selfie video on her way back from early voting on Sunday. \u201cDo you remember how freaked out everyone was about Obama and that he didn\u2019t have enough experience or that he was like a Black separatist or whatever that crap was they were putting out?\u201d she said. \u201cThis is a moment like that. [Mamdani] is a brilliant new young candidate who is gonna take this city to a place we have needed to go for so long.\u201d<\/p>\n The Oscar winner posted a 14-slide Instagram post in support of Mamdani, sharing that she\u2019s known him for 20 years and worked with him on the 2016 movie Queen of Katwe, which was directed by his mother. (Mamdani was an assistant director.)
