The International Cinematographers Guild<\/a> has decided to shutter its nearly century-old Icg Magazine publication as it transitions to \u201cnew ways of connecting with members.\u201d<\/p>\n

The union\u2019s national president John Lindley<\/a> told members last week that its national executive board made the decision after \u201cthoughtful discussion\u201d about how to communicate with its roughly 10,000 members. \u201cAfter thoughtful discussion, the Board made the difficult choice to sunset Icg Magazine as we transition toward new ways of connecting with members,\u201d the message stated. \u201cThis decision was not made lightly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Icg Magazine\u2019s last issue will be in December, The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> has learned. It has been publishing in some way, shape or form since 1929, when it was named The International Photographer. The union declined to comment on whether the move prompted any layoffs.<\/p>\n
