Netflix<\/a> is firing up Frankenstein<\/a> fans ahead of the forthcoming streaming release for Guillermo del Toro<\/a>\u2019s new feature adaptation.<\/p>\n

Over the Halloween weekend, the streaming service coordinated a series of events in the Hollywood area that involved drones and a simulated lightning strike. This led up to a sold-out IMAX<\/a> screening of the new Frankenstein<\/a> at the Tcl Chinese Theater, where Jason Reitman<\/a> took the stage after the film to chat with del Toro. Oscar Isaac<\/a>, Jacob Elordi<\/a>, Mia Goth<\/a> and Christoph Waltz<\/a> star in the feature that is now playing in select theaters before hitting Netflix on Nov. 7.<\/p>\n

The celebration began Thursday with a 1,500-drone lightning storm above the Hollywood Forever Cemetery that spelled out the title to the Oscar-winning director\u2019s adaptation of the classic Mary Shelley<\/a> novel.
