Production has begun in Vietnam on \u201cMr. Hero,\u201d a dramedy centered on a down-on-his-luck father who fakes a heroic rescue to impress his daughter, only to find himself thrust into the national spotlight.<\/p>\n

The feature marks a collaboration between Hk Film<\/a>, V Pictures<\/a> and Beach House Pictures<\/a>, a Fremantle company. Vietnamese comedy star Thai Hoa<\/a> leads the cast under the direction of Vo Thach Thao<\/a>, the filmmaker behind hit series \u201cCay Tao No Hoa,\u201d which attracted over 350 million viewers when it first aired in Vietnam.<\/p>\n

Timothy Linh Bui<\/a> is producing for Happy Canvas alongside Do Dinh Truong, Trinh Hoan<\/a> and Tuong Vi. Thao wrote the script with Doan Hai Van<\/a>.<\/p>\n
