Audible released a full-cast audiobook on Tuesday for \u201cHarry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone,\u201d which will be followed by the rest of the books in the series over the next few months.<\/p>\n

The full-cast audiobooks feature over 200 voice actors bringing to life the \u201cHarry Potter\u201d series from J.K. Rowling. The seven audiobooks are a collaboration between Audible and Rowling\u2019s Pottermore Publishing.<\/p>\n

It has taken 2\u00bd years to pull the project together. The audiobooks will include a score composed by Nitin Sawhney and performed by a 60-piece orchestra. The cast of 200 actors voices over 500 characters across the seven books.<\/p>\n

The cast for the series includes big names such as Hugh Laurie, Matthew Macfadyen, Keira Knightley and James McAvoy.<\/p>\n

According to Deadline,<\/a> Audible hopes its launch of these full-cast recordings will usher in a new era of adaptation. The company has also backed its adaptations to surpass the 1.8 billion hours of listening that has been achieved by the previous audio versions of the books.<\/p>\n

A look at the cast for the full-cast \u2018Harry Potter\u2019 audiobooks<\/h3>\n

The seven books will be narrated by Cush Jumbo, a British actress known for her leading role in the drama series \u201cThe Good Wife\u201d and the spinoff series \u201cThe Good Fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The books\u2019 main trio, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger will be voiced by Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester and Arabella Stanton through the first three audiobooks. Stanton will also be playing the role of Hermione in HBO\u2019s upcoming \u201cHarry Potter\u201d series.<\/p>\n

For the final four books, the three actors will be replaced by Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan and Nina Barker-Francis in their roles.<\/p>\n

The cast for other younger characters will also be replaced after the third book. Jude Farrant will voice Draco Malfoy for the first three books and then Maximus Evans will take over the role. For the role of Neville Longbottom, Jake Sigsworth will voice the character in the beginning and will be replaced by Archie Mountain.<\/p>\n
