Four new actors have joined Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming Highlanderremake starring Henry Cavill<\/a>. This comes after Highlander was delayed due to an injury that Cavill<\/a> sustained before filming began. Production was pushed back to an early 2026 start after the remake of the 1986 cult classic film was previously scheduled to begin in September.<\/p>\n

Along with Cavill, who is playing the leading role of immortal warrior Connor MacLeod<\/a>, Highlander’s star-studded cast includes Russell Crowe<\/a>, Dave Bautista<\/a>, Karen Gillan<\/a>, Jeremy Irons<\/a>, Djimon Hounsou<\/a>, and Marisa Abela<\/a>. Crowe<\/a> and Hounsou’s involvement marks a reunion more than two decades after their roles in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator (2000).<\/p>\n
