Somewhere out there in the multiverse, Spider-Man: Homecoming<\/a>\u2019s Vulture<\/a> could be a different MCU<\/a> character\u2019s main villain.<\/p>\n

Marvel Studios<\/a> and Sony Pictures<\/a>\u2019 Spider-Man: Homecoming was released in 2017. Directed by Jon Watts, the movie stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker\/Spider-Man<\/a><\/strong> and Michael Keaton<\/a> as Adrian Toomes\/Vulture. It\u2019s been followed by two direct sequels, 2019\u2019s Spider-Man: Far From Home and 2021\u2019s Spider-Man: No Way Home, while a fourth film is now in the works and scheduled to arrive next July.<\/p>\n

Who was Spider-Man\u2019s Vulture originally tied to in the MCU?<\/h2>\n

SuperHeroHype has an exclusive preview of Marvel Studios\u2019 The Infinity Saga \u2013 Spider-Man: Homecoming \u2013 The Art of the Movie, which is written by Eleni Roussos and published by Titan Books<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On one of the pages that can be seen in the preview, conceptual artist Josh Nizzi writes, \u201cInitially, the Vulture was going to be somebody with previous ties to the Falcon<\/a>, so we purposely tied him visually to that a little bit, with an ex-military look. The wings and gear were always supposed to look a bit cobbled-together, kind of like a prototype version \u2014 a larger, clunkier version of what the Falcon has.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Keaton\u2019s Vulture and Anthony Mackie\u2019s Falcon\/Sam Wilson, who has since been promoted to Marvel<\/a>\u2019s Captain America, have yet to cross paths in the MCU. While it\u2019s unclear if they ever will, Danny Ramirez\u2019s Joaquin Torres has now assumed the mantle of Falcon, so there\u2019s always the possibility that they could do more with Toomes. Having said that, the character was last seen in the post-credit scene of 2022\u2019s Morbius, and there doesn\u2019t seem to be any plans at Marvel or Sony to continue that storyline.<\/p>\n
