Tom Bergeron<\/a> is heading back<\/a> to\u00a0Dancing With the Stars<\/a><\/em> as a guest judge five years after he was controversially let go from the show ahead of Season 29. But will his former cohost Brooke Burke<\/a>, who left the show in 2013, be the next to return to the ballroom?<\/p>\n

When it comes to returning in a hosting capacity, Burke is not likely to return. \u201cI never say no, just to never close doors professionally, but that was eight seasons. I did everything I needed to do in the ballroom,\u201d she said on Jennie Garth<\/a>\u2018s\u00a0I Choose Me<\/em><\/a> podcast. \u201cAmazing relationships. At the time, it was one of the most-watched shows on television. It would be hard to go back there with the same level of excitement and appreciation. I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n

She did not specify whether she\u2019d be interested in coming back in a guest spot, but overall, it seems like she\u2019s closed the door on the chapter of her life<\/a> that involved the show.<\/p>\n

Burke won Season 7 of\u00a0Dancing With the Stars<\/em>\u00a0with Derek Hough<\/a> and joined as cohost during Season 10 after Samantha Harris<\/a>\u2018 exit. She was replaced by Erin Andrews<\/a> after leaving following the show\u2019s 17th season. Andrews and Bergeron cohosted until their firings in 2020.<\/p>\n

On November 11,\u00a0DWTS<\/em> will celebrate the show\u2019s 20th anniversary, which is why Bergeron is returning as a judge. Burke confirmed to Garth that she will not be attending the event, although she said she was reached out to about coming back for it.<\/p>\n

Still, she had nothing but positive things to say about her experience, telling Garth, \u201cIt was just so much fun. Such a great show to work on. What a blessing that show was.\u201d However, she acknowledged that going back to \u201credo\u201d something from the past is \u201chard\u201d for her, adding, \u201cI feel like I wrung it out and did everything I needed to do on that show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this season, former DWTS<\/em> pro dancer Cheryl Burke<\/a> also returned as a guest judge. Mark Ballas<\/a> and Maksim Chmerkovskiy<\/a> have stepped in as guest judges on seasons when they weren\u2019t competitors, as well.<\/p>\n
