RobOnBass (real name Robert Turley) and celebrated producer-mentor Camper share a rich history. Having “first connected while growing up in Atlantic City, New Jersey, playing together in church bands”, their roots are both musical and personal. The press release notes that Rob earned a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston on the strength of his bass artistry\u2014while Camper was busy working with top-tier R&B voices such as H.E.R.<\/a>, Mary J. Blige<\/a> and John Legend<\/a> (the H.E.R. self-titled album earned him a GRAMMY). Later, Los Angeles became the meeting ground: Rob relocated there and Camper became his mentor; and into the picture stepped veteran A&R executive Omar Grant, who\u2019s been behind career-defining hits for Rihanna<\/a>, Mustard, Tainy, Big Sean<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n RobOnBass\u2019s credits are already stacked: tracks include “All the Way” by Justin Bieber<\/a> (Swag Vol. II<\/em>), Ty Dolla $ign<\/a>\u2019s “Smile Body Pretty Face” (feat. Kodak Black & YG), “Hands” by Alex Isley, and “Gaslight” by Eric Ben\u00e9t & Ari Lennox. He also worked on Camper\u2019s “OOWEE” (feat. Jill Scott & Ty Dolla $ign).
