{"id":2137533,"date":"2025-11-05T20:51:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T20:51:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2137533"},"modified":"2025-11-05T20:51:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T20:51:14","slug":"golden-bachelor-alum-gerry-turner-allegedly-threatened-to-chop-up-theresa-nist-hide-body-in-shed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/golden-bachelor-alum-gerry-turner-allegedly-threatened-to-chop-up-theresa-nist-hide-body-in-shed\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Golden Bachelor&#8217; alum Gerry Turner allegedly threatened to &#8216;chop up&#8217; Theresa Nist, &#8216;hide body&#8217; in shed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cThe Golden Bachelor\u201d alum Theresa Nist claimed that her ex-husband, Gerry Turner, threatened to chop her up and hide her body in a shed. <\/p>\n<p>Nist recalled visiting Turner at his lake house while appearing<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=juyVE4werQo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> on Tuesday\u2019s episode of the \u201cDear Shandy\u201d podcast. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe took a walk around this lake called Pretty Lake and we were coming to the end of it and he said \u2014 this is really bizarre \u2014 He said, \u2018You see that shed up there?\u2019\u201d she began.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Theresa Nist claimed ex-husband Gerry Turner once threatened to kill her and hide her body.  <span class=\"credit\">Disney<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The \u201cGolden Bachelor\u201d alum shared the story on Tuesday\u2019s episode of the \u201cDear Shandy\u201d podcast.  <span class=\"credit\">Dear Shandy Podcast<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018Yeah.\u2019 He said, \u2018Well, that\u2019s where I\u2019m going to hide your body after I kill you and chop you up.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nist, 72, said Turner, 74, \u201cwasn\u2019t laughing\u201d when he shared the scary sentiment. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018Well, if this was his idea of a joke, that was pretty dark humor,&#8217;\u201d she recalled. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cHe said, \u2018Well, that\u2019s where I\u2019m going to hide your body after I kill you and chop you up.\u2019\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Dear Shandy Podcast<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Nist recalled telling Turner that was \u201cpretty dark humor.\u201d  <span class=\"credit\">Dear Shandy Podcast<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nist believes Turner was expressing some sort of hidden hostility toward her. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just felt like there was animosity in that statement that was underlying,\u201d she said. \u201cLike, maybe if he could have gotten rid of me somehow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Nist doesn\u2019t believe Turner would have actually killed her. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, I don\u2019t think that was true. It\u2019s not true, but it just spoke to an underlying feeling about me,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Nist admitted that she didn\u2019t think Turner would have actually killed her.  <span class=\"credit\">ABC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cIt just spoke to an underlying feeling about me,\u201d she said.  <span class=\"credit\">The Walt Disney Company<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nist met Turner while competing to win his heart on Season 1 of \u201cThe Golden Bachelor\u201d in 2023. <\/p>\n<p>Turner <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/12\/01\/style\/all-the-details-of-golden-bachelor-gerry-turners-engagement-ring-for-theresa-nist\/\">got down on one knee and proposed <\/a>to Nist on the ABC show before they <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/01\/04\/style\/theresa-nist-marries-golden-bachelor-gerry-turner-in-a-badgley-mishka-wedding-dress\/\">tied the knot <\/a>a year later in a televised wedding ceremony. <\/p>\n<p>However, their love story came to an end when they<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/04\/12\/entertainment\/golden-bachelor-couple-gerry-turner-theresa-nist-divorcing\/\"> announced that they were divorcing<\/a> just three months after saying \u201cI do.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The now-exes met on Season 1 of the ABC dating show in 2023.  <span class=\"credit\">Disney<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>They got engaged on camera at the end of the season.\u00a0 <span class=\"credit\">goldengerryturner\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cTheresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we\u2019ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth, and we\u2019ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it\u2019s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,\u201d Turner\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C5qTIF1rztT\/?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told \u201cGood Morning America\u201d viewers<\/a> at the time. <\/p>\n<p>Nist then encouraged their viewers to remain hopeful in finding love later in life despite their split. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have received so much love and support from so many people who watched \u2018The Golden Bachelor,\u2019 and I don\u2019t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope,\u201d she said. \u201cWe want none of that to change for anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both reality stars had previously been married and widowed before falling in love with each other. And I will say this. Those in glass houses should not throw stones. I do wish him all the best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Turner has since moved on with new fianc\u00e9e Lana Sutton.
