The late Princess Margaret\u2019s<\/a> granddaughter has given an extremely rare interview in which she spoke fondly about her grandmother<\/a>. Although they had never met, with 23-year-old Lady Margarita Elizabeth Rose Alleyne Armstrong-Jones being born just months after Margaret died in 2002<\/a>, the young royal has spoken warmly about her grandmother.<\/p>\n As the daughter of Princess Margaret\u2019s son, the Earl of Snowdon, Lady Margarita has grown up hearing fabulous tales about her grandmother. She has also grown up sharing some similarities.<\/p>\n At the moment, the royal is currently studying at the prestigious Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Santo Spirito in Florence, where she\u2019s learning all about jewellery design for three months.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n When asked by The Telegraph<\/a> in an interview about whether she thinks the late Queen\u2019s sister would have liked her jewellery, she said: \u201cMy designs are quite animalistic, quite raw and organic, so it\u2019s hard to say, but I know she had a love of natural motifs and turquoise, which was her favourite colour.<\/p>\n \u201cShe liked shells too, and would happily buy jewellery on the beach and wear it to fabulous state occasions. She would always buy costume jewellery, which is interesting \u2013 that way she could be big and bold.<\/p>\n \u201cShe wasn\u2019t precious. And she was definitely a big earring woman.”<\/p>\n Lady Margarita also revealed that she has Princess Margaret\u2019s engagement ring,<\/a> which has a ruby in it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She revealed: \u201cIt\u2019s a Marguerite shape, a particular floral motif, and just so beautiful. The fact that it shares our name made it feel very magical.\u201d<\/p>\n The 23-year-old then revealed that she wore the ring to King Charles\u2019 Coronation in 2023, telling The Telegraph: \u201cI wear it to things I think she would want to be there for.\u201d<\/p>\n Princess Margaret may be thought of fondly by her granddaughter and, of course, other royal relatives, but she could be a controversial royal.<\/a><\/p>\n
