Online<\/a><\/p>\n Robert Irwin<\/strong><\/a> lives to dance another day.<\/span><\/p>\n But that nearly wasn\u2019t the case after a mishap during a group dance number on this week\u2019s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame episode of <\/span>Dancing With the Stars<\/span><\/em><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI almost died tonight,\u201d Robert told <\/span>Entertainment Tonight<\/span><\/em><\/span> after the Nov. 4 episode in a joint interview with his dance partner <\/span>Witney Carson<\/strong>. \u201cI choked on a piece of confetti after the team dance. Legit.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The 21-year-old added, \u201cI went over to Witney. I inhaled a piece of confetti [and] I couldn’t breathe.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n But, as Robert explained it to the dance pro, he was able to dislodge the confetti on his own while trying to signal to her that he was choking. In fact, as soon as he went over to Witney, he let out a cough and \u201cit popped out.”<\/span><\/p>\n As Robert noted, \u201cI’m not even kidding.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Adding to the fright of the chaotic situation, Witney was completely unaware of Robert\u2019s panic. <\/span><\/p>\n More from E! Online<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI didn’t even know that was happening,\u201d she said. \u201cI would have been his shield.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Luckily, the rest of the show seemed to go off without a hitch for Robert and Witney, as they tied for the highest score of the night after dancing a Paso Doble set to <\/span>The White Stripes<\/strong>‘ song \u201cIcky Thump.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n But regardless of the scoreboard, the wildlife conservationist\u2014whose sister <\/span>Bindi Irwin<\/strong><\/a> won the mirrorball trophy in 2015 with dance partner <\/span>Derek Hough<\/strong><\/a>\u2014has one goal in mind. <\/span><\/p>\n
