There are stranger things than <\/span>David Harbour\u2019s latest press tour.<\/span><\/p>\n

New details have come to light on why the <\/span>“<\/span><\/em>Thunderbolts<\/span>*”<\/span><\/em> star was not featured alongside costars <\/span>Millie Bobby Brown<\/a>, <\/span>Finn Wolfhard, <\/span>Gaten Matarazzo, <\/span>Caleb McLaughlin, <\/span>Noah Schnapp and <\/span>Sadie Sink last month when <\/span>they were promoting<\/span><\/a> the final season of Netflix\u2019s “<\/span>Stranger Things<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>“<\/p>\n

As it turns out, Harbour was never confirmed for the interview junket, so he actually didn\u2019t pull out of any appearances, a source with knowledge told E! News. Instead, the 50-year-old is currently in production on <\/span>Courteney Cox<\/a>\u2019s new movie “Evil Genius,” according to <\/span>Deadline<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite his busyness last month, Harbour has been cleared for and is expected to attend “Stranger Things\u2019” season five premiere in Los Angeles Nov. 6, the insider shared.<\/span><\/p>\n

E! News did not receive comment from Netflix when asked about Harbour’s absence from the press tour. E! News has reached out to a rep for Harbour for comment and has not yet heard back. <\/span><\/p>\n

Though he\u2019s been out of the public eye, Harbour <\/span>made headlines<\/span><\/a> last month when his estranged wife <\/span>Lily Allen released her new album “West End Girl,” which <\/span>alludes to infidelity<\/span><\/a> on Harbour’s part as one of the reasons for the downfall of their four-year marriage. <\/span><\/p>\n

In one track titled \u201cRuminating,\u201d the Grammy nominee sings about being unable to “shake the image” of her husband’s mistress naked. In another called “Sleepwalking,” she says her partner lets her believe that her cheating paranoia is all in her head and has “nothing to do with them girls in your bed.”<\/span><\/p>\n

While Harbour has yet to speak publicly on Allen’s new album, he has discussed his mindset heading into the conclusion of the show that made him an \u201cinternational star.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s all kinds of stuff: there’s sadness, there’s fear, but in general it also gives you an opportunity to have more time and space to do your own thing,\u201d he told <\/span>Esquire Spain<\/span><\/em><\/a> <\/span><\/em>in an interview published Nov. 1. \u201cI’m excited about what I’ve learned over the years on ‘Stranger Things.’\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Emmy nominee added, \u201cAs brilliant and wonderful as ‘Stranger Things’ is \u2014 I do think it will stand the test of time, but I also think it will be a product of its time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

As for how Harbour feels about his not-so-young-anymore costars? He thinks they\u2019re \u201cpretty good kids\u201d and have long careers ahead of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI’m always here to help them out,\u201d he continued, \u201cbut they’re on their own path. It’s a wild path, but they all seem to be doing great.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
