Kelsey Grammer<\/strong> is embracing life as a dad of eight \u2014 and he couldn\u2019t be happier about it.<\/p>\n In an interview with People<\/a> shared Wednesday, November 5, the Frasier star opened up about welcoming his youngest child, Christopher<\/strong>, earlier this year with wife Kayte Walsh<\/strong>. The 70-year-old actor called life with a newborn \u201cawesome and fantastic,\u201d adding that \u201cthe family\u2019s ecstatic. We\u2019re all really having a great time. It\u2019s really lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor first announced Christopher\u2019s arrival<\/a> on the Pod Meets World podcast in late October, calling him his \u201cnew baby.\u201d Reflecting on this new chapter, Grammer said, \u201cWe are closer than we\u2019ve ever been as a family, and I\u2019m proud of that.\u201d<\/p>\n Christopher joins siblings Faith<\/strong>, 12, Gabriel<\/strong>, 10, and James<\/strong>, 8, as well as Grammer\u2019s older children Spencer<\/strong>, 41, Greer<\/strong>, 33, Mason<\/strong>, 23, and Jude<\/strong>, 20, from previous relationships.<\/p>\n Grammer also opened up about one of the most painful chapters of his life \u2014 the death of his sister, Karen,<\/a> in that same episode. The actor became emotional while discussing his memoir, Karen: A Brother Remembers, which reflects on her life and the lasting impact of her loss.
