After all that time, we have finally received news about <em>Gremlins 3<\/em>, the third official film in the franchise. Normally, a first official announcement is all we get, but this time we have the writer, director, and even the specific release date. Original <em>Gremlins <\/em>writer Chris Columbus is back, and this time he takes both writing and directing credits, replacing the original\u2019s director, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001102\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Joe Dante;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Joe Dante<\/a>, who is now nearly 79 years old. Do not expose it to bright light, do not get it wet and do NOT feed it after midnight! How the plot will be brought into 2027 is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">So far, there have not been any cast announcements, but there is an <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt2918116\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:IMDb page live;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">IMDb page live<\/a> for the film.
