\n\tBanijay<\/a> Entertainment profits were up 5% over the first nine months of this year but today\u2019s financials revealed production on some of the super-indie\u2019s shows have been postponed until next year.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Banijay Entertainment<\/a> and Live portion of the Banijay Group<\/a> biz, which makes and sells the likes of Big Brother, MasterChef <\/em>and Black Mirror, <\/em>saw profits rise by 5.4% from January to September to \u20ac303.1M ($349.8M). EBITDA margin rose from 13.8% to 14.5%. <\/p>\n \n\tRevenue over the same period remained virtually flat at \u20ac2.1B during a period that saw the French-headquartered behemoth deliver the likes of Netflix\u2019s House of Guinness<\/a><\/em> and TF1\u2019s Montmartre. <\/em>Individually, both production and distribution revenue stayed stable. <\/p>\n \n\tFor full year 2025, Banijay said the entertainment biz expects \u201clow single digit organic growth in revenue\u201d driven by \u201cmajor deliveries\u201d of scripted and non-scripted shows like Star Academy <\/em>for TF1, Big Brother <\/em>for ITV, Motor Valley <\/em>for Netflix and NCIS Sydney <\/em>for Paramount. <\/p>\n \n\tHowever, it added that \u201cpostponement of some deliveries is expected,\u201d which we understand means that production on some Banijay shows, along with live events, will be pushed into next year. This decision will have been taken by the buyers rather than Banijay, we are told. The news comes a few hours after ITV delivered a trading update in which it said it planned to <\/a>move \u00a320M ($26.2M) of programing into 2026 while making an additional \u00a315M of non-content savings amid a tricky UK economy.<\/p>\n
