Ten more tracks have been added to our playlist on Spotify and Apple Music this week, including two from releases we exclusively premiered earlier in the week. We\u2019re heading Northwards to Wales for our Track of the Week \u2013 \u201cPhantom\u201d from Cardiff queer art-rock outfit Small Miracles<\/b>.<\/p>\n
\u201cPhantom\u201d is the opening track from the band\u2019s debut album A Human Connection<\/i>, which is released today. It\u2019s a real scene setter, demanding your attention, quite literally,\u00a0 <\/span>from the outset. It\u2019s gloriously theatrical, full of energy and just this really joyful playfulness and swagger. It\u2019s a lot of fun, with an incredible breakdown moment midway, and it immediately made us want to listen to the rest of the album. So as far as openers go \u2013 job done, surely?!<\/p>\n Genesis Owusu<\/strong> dropped \u201cDEATH CULT ZOMBIE\u201d to see us through Halloween. Bristling with gritty basslines, pounding drums and Brit-rock guitar lines, it\u2019s a leap from his most recent single, the electronic-punk pulse of \u201cPIRATE RADIO\u201d. It showcases his versatility and restless energy to create new sounds, whilst he is sharing his observations on indoctrination, bro culture, and the zombification of modern thought.<\/p>\n Yumi Zouma<\/b> return this week with \u201cPhoebe\u2019s Song\u201d as they continue to tease their new album No Love Lost To Kindness<\/i> (Out Jan 30th). The single is a romantic and heartfelt ode dedicated to the aforementioned Phoebe, the partner of band member Josh Burgess. <\/b>It\u2019s full of warmth and texture, from the shimmeringly expansive guitars to the shoegazey vocals of Christie Simpson<\/b>; it\u2019s giving Noughties teen movie soundtrack. There\u2019s even a cheeky little classic Nokia ringtone thrown in there for good measure \u2013 a knowing nod to modern romance.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Deep\u201d marks a bold new chapter for Telenova<\/strong>, a commanding and cinematic statement that anchors their forthcoming album The Warning<\/em>. Built on pulsing rhythms and dark, hypnotic production, the track showcases the potency of each of the trio\u2019s contribution and competing influences. \u201cThis record is the closest we\u2019ve come to showing what\u2019s really happening beneath the surface,\u201d<\/em> says frontwoman Angeline Armstrong. \u201cThere\u2019s faith, fear, anxiety and awe \u2013 all at once.\u201d.<\/em> Telenova will also bring their renowned live show to Australian stages in April and May 2026 to showcase The Warning<\/em>, with all-ages shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide featuring special guests Fade Evare<\/strong>.\u00a0 Head HERE<\/a> for tickets<\/p>\n \u201cBlind Horse\u201d is the new single from Canadian singer-songwriter Mia Kelly <\/b>and comes just as Kelly is about to embark on a UK tour supporting John Smith<\/b>. \u201cBlind Horse\u201d explores themes of privilege and power along with the different rigged systems in place that we often mistake for fairness. It is then, it\u2019s fair to say, a song for the times we live in. Despite the heady subject matter, it remains a gorgeous song; a welcome reminder of Kelly\u2019s prowess as both a songwriter and a vocalist. There\u2019s a sparseness to the production, which allows space for Kelly\u2019s lyrics, her vocals, and her message to really shine.<\/p>\n Also added to the playlist this week is \u201cMe Condena\u201d, a stunning slice of saudade infused\u00a0 <\/span>electro pop from Belgian-based group \u0100o<\/b>. It\u2019s the latest single to be released from their forthcoming album Malandra<\/i> (Out Feb 13th). Meanwhile, out today \u201cYou Might Miss Out\u201d is the reflective and calming new single from Australian singer-songwriter Adam Harpaz<\/b>. We have also added \u201cBroken Time\u201d from Editors<\/strong> frontman, Tom Smith<\/strong>, from his debut solo album, There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn\u2019t There In The Light<\/em>, out 5th of December.<\/p>\n Finally we\u2019ve added two tracks from premieres earlier in the week \u2013 \u201cLove In The Make Believe\u201d from Donni Heat<\/strong>, and \u201cA Kick in the Teeth\u201d from Verticoli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Catch all the new music updated every Friday on Apple Music:<\/p>\n
