Lorde<\/a>, Gracie Abrams<\/a>, Halsey<\/a>\u00a0and more have reacted to Democrat Zohran Mamdani\u2019s historic victory in the New York City mayoral election.<\/p>\n On November 4, Mamdani emerged victorious as NYC\u2019s new mayor over opponents Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, winning with over 50 per cent of the vote. He will take over from Democrat Eric Adams, who has served as the mayor since 2022.<\/p>\n Mamdani will also become the first Ugandan-American and Indian-American to serve as the New York mayor.<\/p>\n Now, figures from across the entertainment world have reacted to Mamdani\u2019s win, taking to social media to express their excitement.
