Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a> is roaring forth with a new era of music.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Indeed, the \u201cTeenage Dream\u201d singer released her first new song since news surfaced over the summer that she and <\/span>Orlando Bloom<\/strong><\/a> had <\/span>broken up<\/span><\/a> and ended their engagement, and the track is one of her most vulnerable to date.<\/span><\/p>\n In the music video for her new song \u201cBandaids\u201d released Nov. 6, Katy begins by washing dishes and drops what appears to be an engagement ring down the sink. As she sticks her hand down to try and retrieve it, she alludes to her breakup, singing, \u201cHand to God I promise I tried \/ There\u2019s no stone left unturned \/ It\u2019s not what you did, it\u2019s what you didn\u2019t \/ You were there but you weren\u2019t.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n And Katy\u2019s honesty didn\u2019t end with the song\u2019s opening lyrics, as she went on to hint at the reason for their split.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cGot so used to you letting me down \/ No use tryna send flowers now,\u201d she continued. \u201cTelling myself you’ll change, you don’t \/ Band-Aids over a broken heart.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n As she sings, Katy undergoes some multiple painful experiences in the video, including her hand getting injured by the sink\u2019s garbage disposal and falling out of a tree.
