Filming has begun, with a release scheduled for 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Taweewat is best known as the director of box office sensation <em>Death Whisperer<\/em> and its sequel, which took $15.2m (thb510m) in 2023 and $24.7m (thb825m) in 2024 respectively. The latter is the biggest Thai film of all time.<\/p>\n<p>GrX Studio founder Hank Tseng said: \u201cThis strategic co-investment partnership aims to build new creative forces and business opportunities and further expand the footprint of Taiwan and Thailand in the region and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The investment from GrX Studio is derived from its <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.screendaily.com\/news\/taiwans-grx-studio-to-unveil-50m-fund-and-the-photo-from-1977-cast\/5197858.article\" target=\"_blank\">$50m media fund<\/a>, the Asian Spring Project, announced in Busan last year. Before venturing into Thai productions, the company has previously produced many successful Taiwanese genre titles such as <em>The Tag-Along<\/em> film trilogy and Netflix series <em>The Victims\u2019 Game<\/em> and<em> Copycat Killer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Taipei-based Lots Home Entertainment, led by general manager Alain Hao, has produced horror smash hits such as <em>The Bridge Curse<\/em> and its sequel. It is also a close collaborator with GrX Studio.<\/p>\n<p>Bangkok-based Transformation Films, a subsidiary of Major Cineplex Group, has collaborated with South Korea\u2019s CJ ENM on <em>Inhuman Kiss,<\/em> Netflix\u2019s <em>Deep<\/em> and most recently Amazon original film <em>Host<\/em>, a supernatural horror based on Thai folklore about the guardian spirit of newborns.<\/p>\n<p>Transformation Films CEO Sangar Chatchairungruang is attending Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) this week.
