De La Soul<\/a> have announced a new album, \u2018Cabin in the Sky\u2019, and released a new single, \u2018The Package\u2019. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n The album, which marks the follow-up to 2016\u2019s \u2018And the Anonymous Nobody\u2026\u2019, will be released on November 21 via Mass Appeal, as part of the label\u2019s seven new albums from iconic rap stars this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n It will be their first record since the 2023 death of founding member David Jude Jolicoeur<\/a>, who was also known as Trugoy, Dave, and Trugoy the Dove.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2019Cabin in the Sky\u2019 lives in that space between loss and light,\u201d Posdnuos said in a press release. \u201cIt\u2019s about the pain we carry and the joy that somehow still finds us. This album is therapy and celebration at the same time. There\u2019s a vulnerability in these songs, because everything we\u2019ve been through has brought us to this moment, to this album, honoring what we\u2019ve lost and lifting up what still remains.
