SEVENTEEN<\/a> starts Seungkwan<\/a> and DK<\/a> are due to launch a new sub-unit, Pledis Entertainment<\/a> has confirmed \u2013 find out more below.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, South Korean news outlet ChoSun<\/em><\/a> revealed that the two K-pop stars are reportedly working on new music together, suggesting the formation of a new sub-unit. Their label Pledis Entertainment has since confirmed the reports, per Soompi<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n Pledis said in a statement: \u201cDK and Seungkwan are preparing a unit album with a target release in January of next year.\u201d<\/p>\n It is also worth noting that DK and Seungkwan are already members of another sub-unit, BSS, with member Hoshi<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 13-member group \u2013 four of whom have already enlisted for their mandatory military service \u2013 have also confirmed that its members will remain active through solo material<\/a>, and that the entire group will reconvene once everyone\u2019s done with their two-year service.<\/p>\n As for the four members who won\u2019t be serving \u2013\u00a0S.Coups is exempt due to an ACL injury<\/a>\u00a0while\u00a0The8<\/a>\u00a0and Jun are Chinese citizens and Joshua\u2019s a US citizen \u2013 they plan to \u201cstick together and make something great to showcase to the fans.\u201d<\/p>\n S.Coups and\u00a0Mingyu<\/a> have since formed their own sub-unit, CxM<\/a>. CxM\u2019s debut album scored a three-star review<\/a>, with NME<\/em>\u2018s Rhian Daly writing: \u201c\u2018Hype Vibes\u2019 might be uneven in places, but its bright energy wins out and brings cohesion to the release, even when its creators are moving unpredictably.
