{"id":2141027,"date":"2025-11-07T14:05:28","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T14:05:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2141027"},"modified":"2025-11-07T14:05:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T14:05:28","slug":"1-3-trillion-projected-to-flow-into-media-entertainment-tech","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/1-3-trillion-projected-to-flow-into-media-entertainment-tech\/","title":{"rendered":"$1.3 Trillion Projected to Flow Into Media, Entertainment, Tech"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>As Hollywood and media seek new business models able to capitalize on unprecedented changing consumer habits, the question always ends up: Where will the growth come from?<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.sanity.io\/files\/bw8wgpyt\/production\/c5257e7e997e8d08e1164644878af4814e84f55c.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A report from Activate Consulting<\/a> offers some answers through new forecasts that includes a projection that as much as $1.3 trillion in new growth dollars will come to media, entertainment, internet and B2B software companies by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>The study offers a roadmap of where to look for growth and where the money is going. The firm identified four key areas: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Highly loyal and active users<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Creator impact on streaming  <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Growing pervasiveness of AI<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here\u2019s how the $1.3 trillion in new revenue breaks down:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><\/figure>\n<p>In terms of the categories, \u201cinternet and media revenues\u201d include revenues from radio subscription and licensing fees, recorded music, book publishing, magazine publishing, newspaper publishing, video games, filmed entertainment, TV subscription and licensing fees, internet access, digital advertising and traditional advertising on these platforms. CAGR is the compound annual growth rate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cB2B technology and software revenues\u201d include revenues from<br \/>cloud-native applications and services (i.e. software, data storage and compute hosted on a public cloud platform or remote data center), on-premise applications and services and third-party IT services.<\/p>\n<p>The core engine of growth is the super user.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the past, success in entertainment and media was about scale: capturing everyone \u2014 the greatest number of users, at scale. Companies now need to shift their focus to the highest value users who will drive the most engagement and spend the most money,\u201d said Michael Wolf, founder and CEO of Activate Consulting. \u201cIn 2026, if you don\u2019t have a superuser\/superfan\/ supergamer\/supersubscriber strategy, then you don\u2019t have a \u2018strategy.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/powerwomensummit2025.splashthat.com\/actress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"970\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thewrap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PWS-970-x-250-4.png?resize=970%2C250&amp;quality=80&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7882688\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thewrap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PWS-970-x-250-4.png?w=970&amp;quality=80&amp;ssl=1 970w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thewrap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PWS-970-x-250-4.png?resize=300%2C77&amp;quality=80&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thewrap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PWS-970-x-250-4.png?resize=768%2C198&amp;quality=80&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 970px) 100vw, 970px\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The other point Wolf was intent on making was that video rules the internet:\u00a0Daily video viewing time will rise by 21 minutes \u2014 from six hours and 12 minutes in 2025 to six hours and 33 minutes by 2029<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVideo is eating the internet!\u00a0Everything is becoming video: social, podcasts, shopping, even AI,\u201d said Wolf. \u201cWith the new Sora iOS\/Android Apps (OpenAI) and Vibes (from Meta), both companies are creating their own short-snack video services which show how AI will drive engagement and advertising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 245-page, data and graphics-laden report covers everything from films to streaming to AI to gaming to e-commerce to sports and spatial computing.<\/p>\n<p>Some key takeways from the report:<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-super-users\">Super users<\/h2>\n<p>Super users are defined as highly influential consumers who drive outsized time, dollars spent and impact across digital platforms. Wolf told TheWrap it\u2019s all about \u201cfirst to try, first to buy:\u00a082% of super users are early adopters who try and purchase new technology and media products first. And they\u2019re brand champions. AI expands, not cannibalizes, the search journey, Wolf added.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond search, however, such as with AI glasses, so-called spatial computing is becoming a reality, Wolf noted. All the big tech companies are investing in spatial (Apple, Meta, Samsung, Google, etc.). <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy are they placing so much cash on a market that\u2019s in development?
