Boston Blue<\/a><\/em> has cast\u00a0Doctor Strange<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star and Dancing With the Stars<\/a><\/em> winner Xochitl Gomez<\/a> as a <\/span>new character who will have a big impact on Sean Reagan\u2019s<\/a> (Mika Amonsen<\/a>) life.<\/p>\n Gomez will make her series debut in Boston Blue<\/em> Season 1 Episode 6, premiering on November 21. This episode will also feature Marisa Ramirez<\/a>\u2018s return as Detective Maria Baez<\/a>, this time for more than just a scene like her previous cameos in the\u00a0Blue Bloods<\/a><\/em> spinoff.<\/p>\n Gomez will appear as a recurring guest star on Boston Blue<\/i> as Penny, a quick-witted, charming young woman with a mysterious past who crashes into Sean\u2019s life. Sean is Danny Reagan\u2019s (Donnie Wahlberg<\/a>) youngest son, who took up a job as a Boston police officer to follow in his law enforcement family\u2019s footsteps. Sean was played by Andrew Terraciano<\/a> in\u00a0Blue Bloods<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n Sean has recovered from his injuries incurred in the\u00a0Boston Blue<\/em> series premiere. His hospitalization is what brought his dad to Beantown, but then Danny crossed paths with Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green<\/a>), and they started working together on a case. They\u2019re now partners at the Boston Police Department, and their families are bonding over their shared law enforcement history and tradition of weekly family dinners.<\/p>\n Danny and Baez, his former partner at the NYPD, are now romantic partners, and they\u2019ve been making long-distance work while Danny\u2019s been in Boston. Baez helps Danny and Lena on a case in the November 21 episode, titled \u201cCode of Ethics.\u201d (See the\u00a0Boston Blue<\/em>\u00a0release schedule here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n No further details are currently available about Gomez\u2019s character, but Penny seems to be a potential romantic interest for Sean.<\/p>\n Boston Blue<\/em> also stars Maggie Lawson<\/a> as Sarah Silver, Marcus Scribner<\/a> as Jonah Silver, Gloria Reuben<\/a> as Mae Silver, and Ernie Hudson<\/a> as Reverend Peters.<\/p>\n
