\n\tDaft Punk<\/a> is making contact.<\/p>\n \n\tAs part of the new collaboration<\/a> with Fortnite<\/em>, the French duo has released a new video for track \u201cContact,\u201d the epic closer of its 2013 Grammy-winning album, Random Access Memories<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tThe new animated clip finds the robots careening through space and borrows imagery from Interstella\u00a05555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem<\/em>, the 2003 anime film created as a companion piece<\/a> for the duo\u2019s 2001 album, Discovery<\/em>.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tExplore\t\t<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p><\/div>\n \t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/div>\n <\/p>\n \t<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n See latest videos, charts and news<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tThe new music video also uses a trimmed version of the song, which in this video version clocks in at four minutes and 48 seconds, down from the six-minute and 23 second original.<\/p>\n \n\tCreated by Epic Games and Magnopus, the visual comes as part of the new Daft Punk Experience that launched in Fortnite<\/em><\/a> in September. The experiences includes 31 songs from the duo\u2019s catalog featured throughout several interactive rooms in the game. Users can also create song mashups, make their game avatars\u00a0dance<\/a>\u00a0at a \u201cDaft Club\u201d featuring footage from the band\u2019s Alive tour and\u00a0Alive 2007<\/em>\u00a0live album, and make Lego music videos featuring the band.<\/p>\n \n\tIn what was perhaps an Easter egg for this new video, Daft Punk\u2019s Thomas Bangalter played \u201cContact\u201d in his October set in Paris at Because Beaubourg, a retrospective exhibition of French label Because Music. The performance<\/a>, during which Bangalter played alongside Ed Banger founder Busy P, electro titan Erol Alkan and phenom Fred again.., was the Daft Punk member\u2019s first public DJ set in 16 years.<\/p>\n \n\tWatch the new video for \u201cContact\u201d below.<\/p>\n\n
