Produced by Joel Savoy, Steve Berlin and John Leopold out of Valcour Records in Eunice, the ‘King of Zydeco’ album features local musicians like Steve Riley, Keith Frank, Anthony Dopsie and CJ Chenier honoring the music of Chenier, alongside famous rockers The Rolling Stones \u2014 and even country music legend (and Lake Charles native) Lucinda Williams.<\/p>\n

The album was largely recorded at Dockside Studio, a renowned Louisiana recording studio in Maurice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 68th annual Grammy Awards will air on Sunday, Feb. 1 on CBS. The last time the Acadiana area brought home a Grammy<\/a> was in 2024, when there were tied winners in the regional roots music category: Lost Bayou Ramblers and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra with “Live: Orpheum Theater Nola,” and\u00a0Buckwheat Zydeco Jr. & The Legendary Ils Sont Partis Band with “New Beginnings…”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
