The holiday season has officially begun, and that means one thing\u2014time for Christmas music! I love the classics<\/a>, but as someone who listened to \u201cSanta Baby\u201d a million too many times while working retail in the \u201990s, I always appreciate something new for the festive season. <\/p>\n

On that note, Latina country singer Kat Luna<\/strong> just dropped a brand-new Christmas song, \u201cEvergreen,\u201d plus versions of \u201cHave Yourself a Merry Little Christmas\u201d in English and Spanglish. <\/p>\n

Give them a listen. \u201cEvergreen\u201d<\/a> is an original love song perfect for a romantic holiday date night by the fire, complete with mistletoe. And her rich, warm vocals are perfect for \u201cHave Yourself a Merry Little Christmas\u201d<\/a>\u2014add a hot cup of cocoa and an ugly Christmas sweater, and as far as I\u2019m concerned, it\u2019s December 25th. <\/p>\n

While one of her versions of the classic Christmas tune is fully in English, the Spanglish version<\/a> of \u201cHave Yourself a Merry Little Christmas\u201d alternates between Spanish and English lyrics. That\u2019s fitting for Kat, a first-generation Cuban American born in Miami. Growing up, her \u201cCuban Cowboy\u201d grandfather introduced her to a range of musical influences, ranging from country legend Toby Keith to Cuban singer Celia Cruz.<\/p>\n

Formerly of the duo Kat & Alex, Kat made her Opry debut as a solo artist in February. If you love her new Christmas music, you\u2019ll want to give a listen to her Billboard<\/em>-acclaimed debut EP, That Girl, <\/em>which came out earlier this year, too.<\/p>\n
