Prince William put his PR skills to work during a recent interview with celebrity.land’s Christiane Amanpour as he skirted a personal question about the tensions within the Royal family.<\/p>\n
Amanpour, 67, asked the Prince of Wales to expand on his recent comments about his plans for when he ascends the British throne.<\/p>\n
“I think it\u2019s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good. And I embrace that and I enjoy that change \u2014 I don\u2019t fear it,” William previously said during an appearance on Eugene Levy’s The Reluctant Traveler<\/em>.<\/p>\n During his Wednesday, November 5, chat with Amanpour at The Earthshot Prize Impact Assembly in Brazil<\/a>, William, 43, said, “I think the Earthshot Prize is a classic example of change,” after Amanpour pointed out there “has been a lot of change in [the Royal] family recently.”<\/p>\n William continued, “Rather than talk about it, we’re doing it. That’s where I want it to be, is that, these people in here are the true, actual heroes of our time. Change will come<\/a> by backing them, not by what I do. I want to surround myself with people who want to make change and do good in the world.”<\/p>\n The world has been watching as the division in the Royal family seems to widen.<\/p>\n William’s brother, Prince Harry, has distanced himself from the monarchy<\/a>, moving with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children to California after stepping down as senior working members in 2020.
