Erika Kirk<\/strong><\/a><\/span> (n\u00e9e Frantzve) promised supporters she will not be silent as she carries on her late husband Charlie Kirk<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe knew that evil wins when good people stay silent,\u201d Erika, 36, said at Fox Nation\u2019s Patriot Awards on Thursday, November 6. \u201cFor the rest of my life, I will make sure that I don\u2019t stay silent. I\u2019ll keep speaking the truth no matter the cost. I pray that all of you do too, for Charlie.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the show, Erika was honored with the first-ever Charlie Kirk Legacy Award in honor of the life of her husband. According to Fox, the award honors individuals who embody Charlie\u2019s mission of faith, family and free speech.<\/p>\n

Fox News host Jesse Watters<\/strong>, country singer Jason Aldean<\/strong> and his wife, Brittany Aldean<\/strong>, presented the trophy to Erika, who was recently named the new CEO of Turning Point USA.<\/p>\n

\u201cCharlie would always tell myself and others that America is worth fighting for. It is and always will be,\u201d Erika shared in her speech. \u201cI\u2019ll never forget the time where somebody told him, \u2018I appreciate what you\u2019re saying, I just don\u2019t really like how you\u2019re saying it. I don\u2019t like your delivery, and I think you could reach more people if you changed that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Erika \u2014 who shared a daughter, 3, and son, 17 months, with Charlie \u2014 recalled the smirk her husband would show when faced with the feedback.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would say, \u2018You\u2019re missing the point. It\u2019s not how I\u2019m saying it that\u2019s upsetting people. It\u2019s the fact that I\u2019m saying the truth that\u2019s upsetting people,\u2019\u201d Erika recalled. \u201cI watched him pour every ounce of himself into the students, into raising up the most courageous generation and inspiring so many people to stand firm in faith and love this country.\u201d<\/p>\n

On September 10, Charlie was shot and killed<\/span><\/a> while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, as part of his American Comeback Tour. He was 31.<\/p>\n

The conservative commentator and head of Turning Point USA was honored with a public memorial<\/span><\/a> at Arizona\u2019s State Farm Stadium on September 21.<\/p>\n

In her first TV interview since Charlie\u2019s death, Erika said her daughter has been asking questions about what happened to her dad.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy daughter continues to ask, but it\u2019s really sweet because I keep explaining to her a few things,\u201d Erika shared on the<\/span><\/a> November 5 episode of Jesse Watters Primetime<\/i>. \u201cI said, \u2018If ever you want to talk to Daddy, you just look up to the sky and start talking to him \u2014 he can hear you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
