It’s been a while. Come on in.<\/p>\n

So this entrance, as you can tell, is pretty simple,<\/p>\n
and compared to how I used to like my entrances<\/p>\n
with a ton of different things,<\/p>\n
the key here was really just simplicity<\/p>\n
and enjoying the view that you get<\/p>\n
when you walk into this house.<\/p>\n
It’s one of the most magical parts of this house to me,<\/p>\n
is walking in and you immediately feel at home.<\/p>\n
This sort of center point tree is something that I love.<\/p>\n
At my old house we had the same people build an olive tree,<\/p>\n
and I loved how that tree made me feel,<\/p>\n
so I wanted to replicate it here.<\/p>\n
It gives you a little bit of greenery inside of the house<\/p>\n
and it’s also an amazing source of light at night.<\/p>\n
You don’t need the lights up,<\/p>\n
you can just have the tree give you just enough.<\/p>\n

This is my living room,<\/p>\n
and as you will notice, it’s very simple.<\/p>\n
The couch is a Cloud couch from RH.<\/p>\n
Most of the furniture you see here is RH.<\/p>\n
I still think it’s the most comfortable couch<\/p>\n
that I’ve ever sat on.<\/p>\n
I’ve always been a fan.<\/p>\n
The most use this will get is when we do Mafia nights,<\/p>\n
which is something we got into<\/p>\n
where we just fill this with seats and play Mafia.<\/p>\n
And that’s where the couch really matters,<\/p>\n
because any little move you make,<\/p>\n
for anybody who’s ever played Mafia or Werewolf,<\/p>\n
the couch delivers.<\/p>\n
In terms of this ginormous coffee table,<\/p>\n
as you will notice, there’s barely anything on it.<\/p>\n
Key component is simplicity, matching of colors.<\/p>\n
My theory, not scientifically proven though,<\/p>\n
is that if there’s less clutter,<\/p>\n
if there’s less things for your eye<\/p>\n
and brain to have to focus on,<\/p>\n
your average heart rate throughout the year<\/p>\n
will be at least one BPM lower.<\/p>\n
So my choice here was to keep it super simple, keep it easy.<\/p>\n
And the advantage is if you want to eat,<\/p>\n
which I sometimes do eat here,<\/p>\n
you know, I just sit down.<\/p>\n
There’s enough leg room, we made sure,<\/p>\n
and you eat sushi and watch South Park.<\/p>\n
This house was designed by Jae Omar, an incredible designer.<\/p>\n
I’m a huge fan.<\/p>\n
And on the interior decoration side of things,<\/p>\n
this is the first time I’ve ever worked<\/p>\n
with an interior designer.<\/p>\n
His name is John Krawiec. He’s been incredible to work with.<\/p>\n
He was willing to collaborate<\/p>\n
and really bring my vision to life<\/p>\n
and not sort of try to place things.<\/p>\n
So you will notice everything is incredibly cohesive,<\/p>\n
very simple, very calming.<\/p>\n

This is the main kitchen.<\/p>\n
Same core principles of simplicity.<\/p>\n
This area of the kitchen<\/p>\n
is probably where I spend the most time.<\/p>\n
I wish I was a good chef. I’m not.<\/p>\n
However, I’m very good at making coffees.<\/p>\n
It’s something I got really obsessed with a few years ago<\/p>\n
and I went on this journey to finding the best equipment,<\/p>\n
the best beans.<\/p>\n
And as you can see, it looks a little bit like a lab.<\/p>\n
This is where I will be making coffees<\/p>\n
for myself, for my friends.<\/p>\n
And I probably spend an equal amount of time here<\/p>\n
and in the studio.<\/p>\n
We have beans out here, different choices.<\/p>\n
This is if I want to make a pot of coffee.<\/p>\n
And then this grinder right here<\/p>\n
is specifically set to a coarser grind,<\/p>\n
which will make a lot more sense with filter coffee<\/p>\n
and less sense with espresso.<\/p>\n
Now, I’m really about precision when it comes to espressos.<\/p>\n
Key component is this cool cup<\/p>\n
that is also a scale at the same time.<\/p>\n
As you can tell, will tell you how much something weighs<\/p>\n
if you put some pressure on it.<\/p>\n
And then you just put the beans in here<\/p>\n
and then you weigh them<\/p>\n
and then you put them into this grinder.<\/p>\n
I believe it was designed by a person<\/p>\n
who has worked on some of the first Apple devices.<\/p>\n
And out of all grinders that I’ve tried,<\/p>\n
this is the most precise, reproducible results.<\/p>\n
And if your goal, which is my goal, to have consistency,<\/p>\n
this is the best that I have ever tried.<\/p>\n
This SLAYER espresso machine<\/p>\n
is what I use to extract my coffee.<\/p>\n
I am obsessed with this machine.<\/p>\n
I don’t want to be a walking ad,<\/p>\n
but I have been very, very happy<\/p>\n
with how this has been performing.<\/p>\n
And then we’re sort of flanked by milk fridges right here,<\/p>\n
because I like when I went to coffee shops<\/p>\n
and I like how they can like, so I want to do that myself.<\/p>\n
So I put a dedicated milk fridge in here.<\/p>\n
The rest is for cooking. I stay out of that.<\/p>\n
I’m currently in a really health conscious time of my life.<\/p>\n
I have tons of spices<\/p>\n
because I found spices to be the best way<\/p>\n
to make up for the lack of fats<\/p>\n
if you’re trying to eat calorically conscious.<\/p>\n
And then, I’m not exactly sure how to pronounce it,<\/p>\n
we call it Maggi.<\/p>\n
I’m from Germany, I grew up with this.<\/p>\n
This is liquid gold.<\/p>\n
You put this on anything, it tastes amazing.<\/p>\n
Doesn’t even matter what it is. Think it’s liquid MSG.<\/p>\n
I don’t know if it’s good for you,<\/p>\n
but you know, not everything can be good for you in life.<\/p>\n
You gotta make compromises, and this is my compromise.<\/p>\n
I love this.<\/p>\n

We are in the live room lounge of my studio.<\/p>\n
This is something we built from the ground up,<\/p>\n
and it sort of fulfills my dream<\/p>\n
of being able to be creative,<\/p>\n
have a space to make music<\/p>\n
and be able to record immediately anywhere I get inspired.<\/p>\n
So we have the piano, the drums, the guitar,<\/p>\n
everything is hooked up, ready to go.<\/p>\n

So one of the most amazing things about being here,<\/p>\n
besides the fact that this is my favorite piano,<\/p>\n
and I went out and played so many,<\/p>\n
and this specific one just speaks to me.<\/p>\n
I can be writing music here and playing and I get inspired.<\/p>\n
And then we have this magical box right here.<\/p>\n
I can just plug a little cable into here or there<\/p>\n
or by the drums<\/p>\n
and I can control my main room from out here.<\/p>\n
So if I really write something incredible<\/p>\n
that I wanna make a song out of,<\/p>\n
I don’t have to lose the inspiration and move away<\/p>\n
and boot up my computer.<\/p>\n
I can just continue right from here<\/p>\n
and I’m controlling my actual computer.<\/p>\n
But there’s more, let me show you.<\/p>\n
We have a little Easter egg of my Telos album.<\/p>\n
So what you will notice is there’s a lot of hidden arches,<\/p>\n
whether it’s the arch of my album<\/p>\n
or the little arches in what are actually sound absorbers,<\/p>\n
which it’s all there to point back to my album,<\/p>\n
which is arches and stained glasses.<\/p>\n
So we got a little bit of a stained glass seat here.<\/p>\n
So you will see those popping out everywhere.<\/p>\n
The record wall is inspired<\/p>\n
by this Japanese library\/lounge.<\/p>\n
The idea was just to get inspirational,<\/p>\n
feel warmth and sort of history<\/p>\n
while you’re in a room where you can write.<\/p>\n
Now this is the hallway to the actual studios.<\/p>\n
We have room B, which is a small production room.<\/p>\n
It is fully soundproof,<\/p>\n
but it’s not there to be grand and inspiring.<\/p>\n
It’s just there to get things done.<\/p>\n
Or if I wanna collaborate with an artist,<\/p>\n
I can have an artist work here while I work in my room.<\/p>\n
Then here we have the vocal booth,<\/p>\n
and the idea here was that you can face<\/p>\n
either of the two rooms<\/p>\n
and you can record with whoever you want to<\/p>\n
and you just pull the curtain for who you don’t wanna see.<\/p>\n
And then welcome to the main room,<\/p>\n
which is where I spend most of my time.<\/p>\n
I have, in 15 years of producing music,<\/p>\n
never had daylight in a studio.<\/p>\n
And so when I realized the orientation of this room<\/p>\n
and we consulted with our studio designers,<\/p>\n
we realized there’s a world where I might have daylight.<\/p>\n
And it literally, I didn’t even care about anything else,<\/p>\n
I just wanted to be in daylight.<\/p>\n
And so we built the studio from the ground up,<\/p>\n
and you will notice in terms of the design,<\/p>\n
it’s incredibly simplistic.<\/p>\n
All the furniture in this room besides the couch<\/p>\n
were made and assigned by Hadrien de Souza,<\/p>\n
who’s incredible and built them based on my knee size<\/p>\n
so that I can sit and play.<\/p>\n
Basically made for me,<\/p>\n
and my engineer Skinny has been working with Hadrien<\/p>\n
to sort of figure out where the cables have to run<\/p>\n
so that you don’t really look at any cables at all.<\/p>\n
It’s incredibly clean for how much is going on here.<\/p>\n
This is here for me to make music, be inspired,<\/p>\n
and enjoy the daylight.<\/p>\n
The most important part of my gear<\/p>\n
is literally hiding behind the screen,<\/p>\n
which is just a laptop.<\/p>\n
You just slide it into the stand<\/p>\n
and everything is powered on.<\/p>\n
Yeah, when I was a kid making music on a laptop,<\/p>\n
I definitely never thought<\/p>\n
I would be in any place along these lines,<\/p>\n
not even as a visitor.<\/p>\n
Honestly, this is beyond any of my wildest dreams.<\/p>\n
And I also wouldn’t have guessed<\/p>\n
that all these years later<\/p>\n
I’m back on a laptop where I started<\/p>\n
and it’s all I need at this point.<\/p>\n
The Rhodes is something I’ve always dreamt of having.<\/p>\n
We have a little custom plate on it,<\/p>\n
and it is a remake that they did a limited edition of.<\/p>\n
This was my chance to get into the Rhodes game,<\/p>\n
and you will hear it all over my album.<\/p>\n
It is an amazing instrument. It’s historic.<\/p>\n
The warm sound of a Rhodes.<\/p>\n

It’s a magical instrument. This is the magic.<\/p>\n
[upbeat music]<\/p>\n
So this is the wellness wing of the house.<\/p>\n
This in particular is the cardio room.<\/p>\n
I spend a lot of time here.<\/p>\n
I bought this iPad holder, and I pop my iPad on here<\/p>\n
and I play Hearthstone Battlegrounds.<\/p>\n
It’s like a card game<\/p>\n
that you can kind of play and do something,<\/p>\n
and I do my cardio and I play my game.<\/p>\n
So that was my way to get around hating being here,<\/p>\n
and obviously the beautiful view helps a lot.<\/p>\n
So this is the recovery part of the whole wellness wing.<\/p>\n
It is where I get my massages.<\/p>\n
We have the dry sauna.<\/p>\n
We have the steam room,<\/p>\n
which genuinely feels like a billion degrees.<\/p>\n
An important part of working out and being fit, recovery.<\/p>\n
And speaking of recovery, one part I almost hate the most<\/p>\n
and do daily is the cold plunge.<\/p>\n
Every morning I stand here,<\/p>\n
contemplate life, procrastinate until I just go in.<\/p>\n
I feel like the cold plunge became part of my life routine.<\/p>\n
I do two minutes and 40 seconds a day in it,<\/p>\n
and I hate it every single day.<\/p>\n
It does get a little bit easier over time,<\/p>\n
but it doesn’t get any better.<\/p>\n
But then when you get out of it, you kind of feel great.<\/p>\n
So that’s why we do it.<\/p>\n
And I start the day with something that sucks,<\/p>\n
and when I’m done with it,<\/p>\n
that’s already been the worst part of the day.<\/p>\n
It only goes up from there.<\/p>\n
This is where we lift.<\/p>\n
It’s not the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen,<\/p>\n
but it’s here to get some work done.<\/p>\n
So this used to be a guest house,<\/p>\n
but I feel weird putting guests in a guest house.<\/p>\n
I want my guests to be in the house<\/p>\n
and like enjoy everything that the house has to offer.<\/p>\n
And this to me is just a dedicated fitness room.<\/p>\n
And there’s also a pickleball court.<\/p>\n
It is amazing because I hate leaving my house.<\/p>\n
My goal was to have everything I need,<\/p>\n
from the plunges to the pickleball,<\/p>\n
to the lifting, to making music,<\/p>\n
everything I want to be able to do at home,<\/p>\n
because compared to most people,<\/p>\n
for a living, I leave my house.<\/p>\n
I used to drink a ton on stage, and over time I realized<\/p>\n
that I can’t afford to do that anymore<\/p>\n
because the hangovers get longer<\/p>\n
and the schedules get tighter.<\/p>\n
So I made health and wellbeing a major component of my life,<\/p>\n
as much as it sucks.<\/p>\n
And I don’t know anybody<\/p>\n
who loves working out in the gym in the morning,<\/p>\n
but I think it’s something<\/p>\n
that if you make it a routine of your life,<\/p>\n
especially if you start your day with it,<\/p>\n
the whole day gets better.<\/p>\n

In this primary suite,<\/p>\n
I wanted to fulfill all my three needs,<\/p>\n
which is being able to be creative if this is where I am<\/p>\n
and I feel inspiration,<\/p>\n
which is why I have the Bosendorfer piano here,<\/p>\n
the same one we saw in the studio, just slightly smaller,<\/p>\n
but it still plays like a dream.<\/p>\n
My second mode is sleep. I take sleep incredibly seriously.<\/p>\n
So I really cherish this bed<\/p>\n
and I will fly home in the middle of the night<\/p>\n
to sleep in my own bed.<\/p>\n
And the third of the important bits is gaming.<\/p>\n
It’s part of my routine, it’s my wind down nightly routine.<\/p>\n
And I’m gonna take you to the gaming space.<\/p>\n
I guess you would call this the living room<\/p>\n
of the primary suite.<\/p>\n
It has two ways to game.<\/p>\n
One is my PC setup, which looks ridiculous<\/p>\n
in such a beautifully designed home.<\/p>\n
But you gotta know what’s important to you.<\/p>\n
And to me, I need a good gaming setup.<\/p>\n
So that’s where I game every night before I go to sleep.<\/p>\n
So if I don’t use the PC for gaming,<\/p>\n
I use this, which is kind of magic.<\/p>\n
For example, if you wanna play<\/p>\n
a PlayStation or Switch or Xbox,<\/p>\n
there’s a TV hiding inside of this,<\/p>\n
and you will notice the TV is taller<\/p>\n
than the entirety of this space.<\/p>\n
What makes this magical is it’s actually a rollup TV.<\/p>\n
So it basically goes down into a little spiral,<\/p>\n
and then when you press a button, it rolls itself up.<\/p>\n
And I still wonder every time how it does that,<\/p>\n
but it just goes away silently, gently.<\/p>\n
And I like to do this all day because it still blows my mind<\/p>\n
and I even know what’s about to happen.<\/p>\n
It’s crazy. I still don’t get it.<\/p>\n

This is where I get ready, where I get my haircuts,<\/p>\n
where I do my makeup for shoots, like today.<\/p>\n
This is very much in line with the goal<\/p>\n
of never having to leave your house.<\/p>\n
You know, I get my haircuts here.<\/p>\n
I get my makeup done here.<\/p>\n
Everything that I ever need to do in my life,<\/p>\n
I want to be able to do from home.<\/p>\n
And so I dedicated this bathroom just to get ready.<\/p>\n
So this is the primary bathroom.<\/p>\n
One of my favorite features is the light.<\/p>\n
There’s skylights here.<\/p>\n
There’s skylights in the shower, obviously huge windows,<\/p>\n
which just makes it feel amazing and it gives me a bedtime,<\/p>\n
because I know if I go to bed and I see light,<\/p>\n
stayed up a little bit too late.<\/p>\n
But you will notice how simple everything is.<\/p>\n
No clutter, nothing unnecessary.<\/p>\n
And then my typical routine is I go take a shower,<\/p>\n
and then I walk up to this part<\/p>\n
and I wear the same shirt every day.<\/p>\n
I open this and I usually just grab the first thing,<\/p>\n
which is always gonna be a black shirt and I wear it.<\/p>\n
But outside of these, I do have an actual closet,<\/p>\n
which I would love to take you.<\/p>\n

Welcome to my main closet, which consists of a shoe wall<\/p>\n
that I built to house all of my shoes until I get more.<\/p>\n
This is the shoe that I wore<\/p>\n
in the Break Free music video with Ariana Grande.<\/p>\n
It’s a very bizarre shoe<\/p>\n
and it only has like half of a sole,<\/p>\n
but I really wanted to keep it as a memory.<\/p>\n
So this is one of my favorite shoes and memories.<\/p>\n
Filming that music video was awesome.<\/p>\n
I always find these awesome shoes,<\/p>\n
I buy them and I never leave my house,<\/p>\n
which I suppose I told you was the purpose of this house.<\/p>\n
So I don’t know why I buy them.<\/p>\n
But anyway, I like comfortable shoes.<\/p>\n
I jump a lot on stage, so whether I’m on stage<\/p>\n
or whether I’m running or on the elliptical,<\/p>\n
I typically just go for comfortable shoes.<\/p>\n
We installed these panned hangers,<\/p>\n
and you can see them all<\/p>\n
without having to guess what’s where.<\/p>\n
This is a neat feature.<\/p>\n
And otherwise this is pretty much your go-to regular…<\/p>\n
This doesn’t close.<\/p>\n
This is your regular closet.<\/p>\n
I try to keep it as organized as I can,<\/p>\n
but with all the travel I do,<\/p>\n
sometimes I get lazy and I just throw things in places.<\/p>\n
I also started collecting watches,<\/p>\n
which is maybe the only thing I really collect in my life.<\/p>\n
And I have a lot of really fun pieces,<\/p>\n
including this one of one Telos Moser piece<\/p>\n
with the tourbillion.<\/p>\n
It’s a work of art.<\/p>\n
And I approach watches with,<\/p>\n
every watch has to offer something<\/p>\n
that another watch doesn’t offer,<\/p>\n
whether it’s a different color or texture or movement.<\/p>\n
Could be like a very vintage-looking piece like this<\/p>\n
and it can be an incredibly shiny piece like that.<\/p>\n
I can find beauty in anything, as long as it’s symmetrical.<\/p>\n
