Sheriff Country<\/a> <\/em>is making a scene every Friday night on CBS\u2014and we totally understand why folks love it.<\/p>\n A new spinoff of the hit series Fire Country<\/a><\/em>, the CBS drama follows Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin<\/strong>) as she solves criminal cases in Edgewater, California. Mickey leads a team of police officers while also getting involved with other first responders in the area (hello, Station 42!). Parts of her past come to light as she deals with the unique characters living in the area.<\/p>\n Even though there have only been a few episodes of Sheriff Country<\/em>, fans may already be questioning what’s to come on the series. And given that Sheriff Country<\/em> and Fire Country<\/em> are both based in Edgewater, some may be curious about where Sheriff Country<\/em> is filmed.<\/strong> Well, prepare yourself\u2014we found some major clues!<\/p>\n Fans of Fire Country <\/em>already know that Edgewater, California, is technically<\/em> not a real place. And just like its predecessor, Sheriff Country<\/em> takes its scenic inspiration from the small towns in Northern California that are often impacted by wildfires.<\/p>\n Even though Edgewater is a fictional place, one would think Sheriff Country<\/em> would film in California. But surprisingly, the CBS drama doesn’t actually shoot in the state where the show is set. Instead, Sheriff Country<\/em> heads north to film in various cities in Ontario, Canada<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Multiple reports<\/a> (including the show’s official IMDB<\/em> page<\/a>) indicate the show shoots in the Greater Toronto area. Those who know the region well would recognize Edgewater’s downtown area as being Main Street in the suburb of Milton<\/a> (about 25 miles outside of Toronto).
