Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is said to be spending his final days at Windsor’s Royal Lodge “ranting to himself” while his ex-wife Sarah Fergusons seeks solace in a secret “Doghouse bar” with staff.<\/p>\n
It was announced last week that Buckingham Palace opted to remove Andrew\u2019s titles and honours<\/a>, as revelations continue to emerge about his friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n Charles officially stripped the title of \u2018Prince\u2019 from his brother<\/a> by issuing a Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm a week after the changes were dramatically announced.<\/p>\n Andrew, who continues to deny accusations made against him by the late Virginia Giuffre, has been erased from the Roll of the Peerage.<\/p>\n He and Sarah, who divorced in 1996, have also been forced to move out of the 30-room Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate, having paid a ‘peppercorn rent’ for over 20 years.<\/p>\n Andrew will move into a property at the Royal Family’s Sandringham estate at the King’s own expense as soon as possible, but Sarah will not be joining him.<\/p>\n Insiders say the ex-couple sleep at opposite ends of the property and only meet at meal times where they have \u201csome petty intense conversations about what is going on\u201d, The Sun reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n A source was quoted: “They are both spending a lot of time alone and it leads to loneliness and soul-searching.<\/p>\n \u201cAndrew rarely goes out and spends quite a lot of time padding around the lodge and ranting and muttering to himself.”<\/p>\n Sarah, 66, is said to be spending her time at a purpose-built bar called The Doghouse constructed behind the mansion, where she talks over her problems with friends and staff.<\/p>\n She is even reported to have asked some trusted employees to stick around for overtime to keep her company.<\/p>\n The ex-Duchess of York is said to be worried about the impact of events on their daughters Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35.<\/p>\n She also has no concrete plans over she will live next, although those close to her say it will not be with Andrew, for the first time in decades.<\/p>\n The source said Sarah \u201cis not in a good place\u201d, and that she is worried about \u201cdark forces\u201d targeting her ex-husband.<\/p>\n They added: \u201cShe is particularly fearful for Andrew as she knows he was at the centre of the Epstein scandal.\u201d<\/p>\n On Thursday, it was reported Andrew had been sent a letter summoning him to appear before the US Congress<\/a> over his \u201clong-standing friendship\u201d with Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n
