Prince Harry was in Toronto this week for Canada<\/a>\u2019s Remembrance Day period, with royal watchers comparing him to his brother, Prince William<\/a>, who was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil<\/a>, at the same time.<\/p>\n

The same day William was giving out EarthShot Prize awards<\/a>, Harry was sitting down for lunch with the military charity True Patriot Love Foundation.<\/p>\n

According to royal expert Pauline Maclaran, the timing is merely coincidental<\/a>, this shouldn\u2019t be seen as a competition between the two brothers, but even so, she does think there’s something going on, that Harry may be craving some alone time.<\/p>\n

Maclaran, co-author of Royal Fever <\/em>and Professor at Royal Holloway<\/a>, said: \u201cThese visits by both William and Harry will have been planned months in advance, with neither aware of each other’s schedules.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s just trying to raise his own profile, which continues to be overshadowed by Meghan\u2019s activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meghan has been quite busy with her Netflix series, which has a Thanksgiving special coming out, and her lifestyle brand, which she\u2019s seen promoting on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Harry and Meghan made a joint visit to New York<\/a> City for World Mental Health Day and with Harry making a solo visit to Toronto, it seems like it gives him a chance to do his own thing.<\/p>\n

While in Toronto, Harry visited with the True Patriot Love Foundation, who invited the Duke to come visit, as he\u2019s a proven advocate for military veterans.<\/p>\n

Also, Toronto played host to the Invictus Games in 2017, so it appears to be a good fit for Harry to return, as he has put down roots there.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry will have strong networks there, especially with the military,\u201d said Maclaran.<\/p>\n

There was some talk about Harry purposely announcing his trip the same day William landed in Brazil<\/a> but Maclaran thinks it was just a coincidence.<\/p>\n

And while the gossip may prove bothersome to the royals, Maclaran believes it\u2019s helpful because it puts a spotlight on their causes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn fact the speculation around the brothers draws people into gossip about the relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n
