Meghan Markle\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> former onscreen dad, Wendell Pierce<\/a>,<\/strong> has her back against the haters.<\/p>\n

Taking to social media on Friday, November 7, Pierce, 61, unleashed after a journalist accused Meghan, 44, of being \u201cdifficult\u201d on the set of Suits<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeghan won\u2019t love being told what to do by any producer. Suits<\/em> actors found her \u2018difficult, demanding and rude\u2019 and she was only a starter then,\u201d Angela Levin<\/strong>, 80, wrote via X<\/a>, referring to rumors of Meghan\u2019s return to acting.<\/p>\n

Pierce, who played lawyer Robert Zane, the father of Meghan\u2019s character, Rachel Zane, on the legal drama hit back in his response.<\/p>\n

Pierce, 60, recalled a moment when he spoke to Markle, 42, about dating Prince Harry during filming. \u201cI\u2019m always reminded of the last day working with Meghan, which [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cYou have no idea what you are talking about. @angelalevin1,\u201d Pierce wrote via X<\/a>. \u201c You are a gossip monger looking to profit off of smearing a woman you know nothing about. Meghan was a kind, giving, and talented artist who I enjoyed working with for years. You Angela are a shameless hack. I\u2019m more mad at myself for allowing you to get under my skin.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI\u2019ll focus this anger on the friendship that Meghan and I have and the fond memories I have from working on SUITS. Her grace is something you know nothing about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meghan is reportedly set to return to acting after an eight-year hiatus<\/a> following her departure from Suits in<\/em> 2017\u00a0 amid her engagement to Prince Harry.<\/strong><\/p>\n

People<\/em> reported on Wednesday, November 5 that Meghan is teaming up with Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid<\/strong> and Henry Golding<\/strong> for the upcoming film Close Personal Friends.<\/em><\/p>\n

In a joint BBC interview with Prince Harry in November 2017, Meghan touched on walking away from her Suits<\/em> role<\/a> as well as her acting career.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It\u2019s a new chapter, right?\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I\u2019ve done there, and now it\u2019s time to work with [Harry] as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pierce has previously publicly supported Meghan<\/a> and opened up about the last time he filmed a Suits<\/em> scene with the actress before she wrapped to join the Royal Family.<\/p>\n
