Homer Simpson\u2019s neighborino Ned Flanders is famous for his Christianity, his left-handedness and his passion for\u00a0<\/span>constructing robot doubles of his dead wife (probably)<\/span><\/a>. But he isn\u2019t generally known for being a violent man \u2013 although that\u2019s not the case in the world of\u00a0Fortnite<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n As we\u2019ve mentioned before<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0The Simpsons<\/i> has partnered with\u00a0Fortnite<\/i> for a new season that allows players to enter the world of Springfield. And hopefully fans of the game weren\u2019t too put off by the cross-promotional couch gag in which\u00a0<\/span>America\u2019s favorite cartoon family disembowels a beloved character<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n While much of the game looks very faithful to the show, Flanders is a tad more murderous than one might expect. The NPC (non-player character) Ned is mostly harmless, unless he\u2019s attacked.<\/span> Per\u00a0Dexerto<\/i><\/span><\/a>, players have been sharing videos of a provoked Flanders taking out other characters with a pair of ski poles. His weapon of choice is seemingly in reference to Homer\u2019s sexually-charged daydreams from season eleven\u2019s much-memed episode \u201cLittle Big Mom.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The official\u00a0Fortnite<\/i> account then shared that Springfield\u2019s most pious resident, shockingly, has more than 33,000 \u201cglobal eliminations.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While\u00a0Simpsons<\/i> fans might take issue with\u00a0Fortnite<\/i> turning Flanders into a homicidal maniac, his character has<\/i> been associated with cold-blooded murder on more than one occasion in the show. Back in season six\u2019s \u201cBart of Darkness,\u201d a Jimmy Stewart-coded Bart theorized that Flanders had bumped off Maude and buried her corpse in the backyard. But it was later revealed that he merely killed a ficus plant.<\/span><\/p>\n And before that, season five\u2019s \u201cHomer Loves Flanders\u201d found Ned dreaming about taking a rifle up to a clocktower and going on a killing spree.<\/span><\/p>\n Then there were all the Halloween episodes in which Flanders really did commit murder, like the\u00a0I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/i> parody in \u201cTreehouse of Horror X.\u201d Technically he was a werewolf at the time, but still.<\/span><\/p>\n More disturbingly, one segment from \u201cTreehouse of Horror XXII,\u201d titled \u201cDial D For Diddly,\u201d was all about how Flanders is compelled to become a serial killer, beheading Mr. Burns, fatally bludgeoning Snake and crushing Patty & Selma with a boulder, all because he believes it\u2019s God\u2019s will.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n
