Meghan Markle is stepping back in front of the camera with a supporting role in the upcoming ensemble film Close Personal Friends, her first acting project since leaving Hollywood in 2017.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex<\/a>, 44, has joined the cast alongside Lily Collins, Brie Larson, and Jack Quaid.<\/p>\n

Directed by Jason Orley and written by This Is Us creator Isaac Aptaker, the film is currently in production in Pasadena. This follows her Hollywood return being branded as “desperate<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Markle is reportedly portraying a version of herself.<\/p>\n
