Renae Smith, founder of PR agency The Atticism, told the Express: \u201cI\u2019ve actually always defended her before. I\u2019ve never believed she\u2019s sitting at home with the royal diary open, plotting counter-announcements.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut it\u2019s happening so often now that it\u2019s hard to keep calling it a coincidence. Whether intentional or not, someone on her team seems to be tracking royal moments and slotting her headlines in alongside them. It\u2019s starting to look calculated, and that\u2019s dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added that the duchess risks looking \u201cobsessive and reactive\u201d and urged her to pull back.<\/p>\n
Ms Smith said: \u201cIf it is intentional, it\u2019s a bad play. When your public narrative starts to look like it\u2019s competing with someone else\u2019s, you lose control of your own brand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cEven if it\u2019s not deliberate, perception becomes reality and right now, that perception is that Meghan\u2019s always trying to upstage the royals.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat kind of pattern makes her look obsessive and reactive, which undermines the credibility she\u2019s been trying to build.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I were advising her team, I\u2019d say PLEASE pull back. Let William have his Earthshot moment. Let your product launch breathe on its own.<\/p>\n
