Nathan Fillion<\/a> has an idea of when he\u2019d like to give up the badge and leave The Rookie<\/a><\/em>. But fans needn\u2019t worry: He wants to keep playing Office John Nolan for years yet.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with People<\/a><\/em>, Fillion says he\u2019s down to stay on the ABC<\/a> police procedural for another decade or so. \u201cIn 10 years, I would like to be just wrapping up The Rookie<\/em>, maybe handing it off to someone else,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd then spend a soft retirement visiting The Rookie<\/em> and dabbling in the four to seven Rookie<\/em> spinoff series that are still going and very, very popular.\u201d<\/p>\n

And between now and that \u201csoft retirement,\u201d Fillion has daydreams of finding a beach house to which he can escape. \u201cI want to have a place on a beach, someplace tropical, where birds are always singing and I can hear the ocean,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know if I\u2019m going to live there full time, but I would like to have the option to go there all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n
