Andrew Mountbatten Windsor<\/a> is allegedly \u201cterrified\u201d to face the US Congress after the latest wave of humiliation, a royal expert has claimed. The disgraced brother of King Charles, who saw all his titles and honours axed by the King, has now been asked to appear before the House Oversight Committee<\/a> for a “transcribed interview” in connection with his “long-standing friendship” with the convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n In the letter, sent to the former prince on Thursday, the US politicians said their committee had identified “financial records containing notations such as ‘massage for Andrew’ that raise serious questions”. The letter was co-signed by 16 Democratic committee members. It requested a response by November 20.<\/p>\n It comes just days after Andrew agreed to leave his home, Royal Lodge, following the furore, despite having a private tenancy agreement for it with the Crown Estate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Now, royal expert Phil Dampier said that the letter is yet another \u201cembarrassment\u201d for the Royal Family, who want to move on from Andrew\u2019s scandal.<\/p>\n He also claimed that the former prince is \u201cterrified\u201d to sit for an interview with the committee for one reason.<\/p>\n He told The Sun<\/a>: \u201cJust when you think it can\u2019t get any worse for Prince Andrew<\/a>, it seemingly does.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s had his title stripped away from him by the King, and now he\u2019s got this summons from a congressional committee in the States.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s actually been ordered or can be compelled to go to this committee. I certainly don\u2019t think it\u2019s likely that he\u2019s going to travel to the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cI think that\u2019s about, as likely as me flying to the moon, to be honest.
