Parkway Drive has new music on the way, Winston McCall says \u2013 although it\u2019s not clear when we might get a chance to hear it.<\/p>\n
Speaking with Poland\u2019s Pe\u0142na Kulturka<\/a>, the vocalist was asked whether the band was working on new music in the wake of their massive Sydney Opera House show<\/a> in June.<\/p>\n McCall said (translated): Basically, we planned that exact thing\u201d (to start working on new music) \u201cand then we had a chance to do an Opera House show with the orchestra, which basically took up all of our time. So we are working on new music.<\/p>\n There is new music coming, put it that way. It\u2019s not like we have recorded an album, but focusing on making new music is literally all of the next year for [Parkway Drive]. We\u2019ve said, \u2018Okay, we\u2019re not gonna be touring much next year at all. It\u2019s all gonna be about creat[ing] new music.\u2019<\/p>\n In the meantime, there\u2019s gonna be a live album from the Sydney Opera House and a movie coming out of that as well, so people can hear some interesting stuff that we\u2019ve created with that. But brand new songs are definitely the next on the Parkway list.\u201d<\/p>\n Parkway Drive dropped a new track \u2018Sacred\u2019 in May, but have otherwise been pretty quiet on the new music front as of late. That\u2019s likely due to the absolutely massive year they\u2019ve been having, including that aforementioned Sydney Opera House performance, and the announcement that their very own festival Park Waves would be making its Australian debut<\/a> in 2026. <\/p>\n From the sounds of this new interview, Park Waves might be one of the only opportunities to see Parkway Drive live in Australia next year before they knuckle down to work on new material.
