Peter Bergman<\/strong>, who plays Jack Abbott on The Young and the Restless<\/strong>, recently appeared on Apple TV\u2019s Pluribus<\/strong>. In a recent interview, he explained how he got a role in the Vince Gilligan post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller series. Bergman also discussed what it was like working with the acclaimed showrunner and his co-star, Rhea Seehorn.<\/p>\n The Young and the Restless actor recently sat down for an interview, where he opened up about getting cast in Pluribus.<\/strong> He told TVInsider<\/a> that he befriended Vince Gilligan through the latter\u2019s Breaking Bad<\/span> collaborator and longtime friend Bryan Cranston.<\/p>\n Bergman called the four-time Emmy winner and his wife \u201cthe loveliest people in the world.\u201d He added that the latter two visited him at home and did a lot of activities with him. Bergman further shared that Gilligan reached out to him, telling him about Pluribus and that he had created a role \u201cperfect\u201d for the former. He said that he agreed to appear in the series, provided it worked with his The Young and the Restless filming schedule.<\/p>\n The 72-year-old recalled getting Pluribus\u2019 script and the secrecy around the television show. \u201cI had to sign an NDA, and it was a watermarked script and very secretive,\u201d he explained. \u201cThey changed all the names, and in the short time between him first talking about it and my shooting it back in January, I think it had three names and none of them were\u00a0Pluribus.\u201d<\/p>\n Moreover, Bergman shared that when he first got Pluribus\u2019 script, his character was named \u201cDistinguished Gentleman.\u201d He joked about how Gilligan thought he was a \u201cdistinguished fellow,\u201d adding that the latter was aware of his soap opera work and how he could learn a lot of complicated dialogue. \u201cSo, I\u2019m in the last seven minutes of the first episode, and I haven\u2019t seen it,\u201d he further stated. \u201cSo who knows how much of it will make it in.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cBut when you watch it, you\u2019ll understand why we could only shoot it from beginning to end every single time. Once they said, \u2018Action,\u2019 I was talking for almost seven pages.\u201d<\/p>\n The All My Children alum also praised Pluribus\u2019 lead, Rhea Seehorn<\/span>. He called her a \u201clovely human being, a thoughtful, compassionate actress\u201d who would run lines with him.
