Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were among the guests at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, with a body language expert suggesting the Duke of Sussex was in “spare mode” at the event.<\/p>\n

The couple attended the glamorous Los Angeles party<\/a>, which was held at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez\u2019s sprawling Beverly Hills mansion, alongside other celebrities including Oprah Winfrey<\/a>, Kylie Jenner and Bruno Mars.<\/p>\n

Meghan wore an all-black outfit to the party, pairing a fitted long-sleeve top with a floor-length skirt which featured a high slit. Harry opted for a velvet tuxedo and the couple held hands as they were pictured making their way into the event<\/a>, with Harry taking the lead.<\/p>\n

Commenting on their arrival, body language expert Judi James suggested the entrance reflected Meghan’s return to acting, while Harry “seems to be back in ‘Spare’ mode.”<\/p>\n

She explained to the Daily Mail<\/a>, “Harry’s expressionless mode directs the attention to his wife here, although his ritual is one favored by the likes of Travis Kelce<\/a>, with the outstretched arm held behind and away from his torso to suggest muscle power, and with his hand gripped around Meghan’s in a similar ‘Big Paw’ Travis grasp that speaks of a desire to protect as they go past the press.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The body language expert said Meghan seemed to know she was a “big star” as she entered the party.<\/p>\n

She explained, “There are several rankings of A-list body language behavior on arrival at a venue or party, and they vary between the Kim Kardashian<\/a> ‘Solo Goddess’ camera-friendly look to an Adele ‘hiding my face with my bag’ pose that suggests she’s too cool and famous to need the publicity.<\/p>\n

“A cut-off ritual like the lowered and hidden eyes suggests a coy lack of need to perform for the cameras, and it implies an assumption of rabid press interest rather than a courting of it.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, she suggested Meghan was also delighted at the attention as she gave a big smile to the camera.<\/p>\n

Kris shared some pictures of her party on Instagram. “Magical night celebrating my 70th birthday with beautiful family and friends,” she captioned the post.<\/p>\n

In the snaps, Kris was seen wearing a stunning Givenchy Haute Couture by Alexander McQueen dress. The red strapless gown featured flowing ruffles and pulled Kris in at the waist, showing off her slim figure.<\/p>\n

She paired her dress with some black opera gloves and silver diamond jewelry.<\/p>\n

Posing next to Kris in the pictures were celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and Kylie Jenner, as well as her partner Corey Gamble.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
