While he doesn\u2019t slam superhero movies outright, it\u2019s clear he\u2019s not itching to put on the cape and cowl anytime soon. If you were holding out hope for him to lead an <em>X-Men<\/em> or <em>Fantastic Four<\/em>, well, brace yourself:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"mb-4 border-l-2 pl-5 italic text-tertiary\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">You\u2019re not still losing sleep over that, are you? I didn\u2019t regret my decision to leave at all. I had started working on that film long before even \u2018Iron Man\u2019 came out. By the time it came around, they had established the brand, the continuity, and even a certain way of making a movie. So the chance to do something really different was going away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">That creative mismatch seems to have steered Wright clear of the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/articles\/upcoming-marvel-movies-release-dates-190233543.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:new Marvel movie;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">new Marvel movie <\/a>machine and the genre altogether, at least for now. It would be more groundbreaking to make a straight-up one.
