Three former Dancing With the Stars pros are bracing for another shocking mirrorball upset in Season 34.<\/p>\n
On a recent episode of The Penthouse With Peta podcast<\/a>, Peta Murgatroyd<\/strong>, Sharna Burgess<\/strong>, and Maks Chmerkovskiy<\/strong> discussed the latest season of the ABC competition series and why they believe the season could end with another shocking upset.<\/p>\n Burgess shared her thoughts about Andy Richter<\/strong>‘s continued ballroom success, drawing parallels to her 2018 win with Bobby Bones<\/strong>. Despite lower judges’ scores, Burgess and Bones won season 27.<\/p>\n She explained, “What if Andy wins it? I’m telling you, the season I won with Bobby, it was stacked with so many dancers. I see him second.” His comment led Burgess to add, “The odds are it won’t happen again. I don’t think they’ll let it happen again.” However, Murgatroyd believes Richter will make the semi-finals.<\/p>\n Bones and Burgess\u2019s Dancing With the Stars Season 27 win sparked major controversy among fans and pros alike. Despite consistently earning some of the lowest judges\u2019 scores, Bones\u2019s massive fanbase propelled him to victory.<\/p>\n His win prompted backlash, prompting the show to reform its voting system. The changes, which took effect in Season 28, added a judge’s save and live, in-show voting. Previously, the series’ voting window was longer and available after the live show had aired nationwide.<\/p>\n In response to comments from Dancing With the Stars pros, Milo Manheim<\/strong>, the Season 27 runner-up to Bobby Bones, shared his own thoughts. That shocking season, Manheim and Witney Carson<\/strong> came in second, Evanna Lynch<\/strong>\u00a0and Keo Motsepe<\/strong> were third, and\u00a0Alexis Ren<\/strong>\u00a0and Alan Bersten<\/strong> placed fourth.<\/p>\n Manheim commented on the video, asking, “Does this make me Robert Irwin<\/strong>?” His response received thousands of comments. Ironically, Manheim and Irwin shared the same pro partner, Carson.<\/p>\n “I’m still upset you didn’t win,” wrote one follower. “You were robbed for sure.” “Andy\u2019s so sweet and has come so far, but it feels too much like deja v\u00fa,” penned a second viewer.”<\/p>\n As the show heads into its final three episodes, the remaining celebrities continue to learn complicated ballroom dances for judges’ points and viewer votes. Ahead of the series’ 20th anniversary celebration episode, the remaining celebrity competitors are: Robert Irwin, Andy Richter, Alix Earle, Whitney Leavitt, Dylan Efron, Elaine Hendrix<\/strong>, and Jordan Chiles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n According to an ABC press release<\/a>, each couple will dance to a song inspired by an iconic freestyle performance from past seasons. Then, there is a dance relay for bonus judge’s points.<\/p>\n New episodes of Dancing With the Stars air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.
