Penned by Thomas Bidegain<\/a>, the Oscar-nominated co-screenwriter of \u201cEmilia Perez<\/a>,\u201d \u201cSanto Subito!\u201d will star Ruffalo as Father<\/a> Joseph Murolo, an American-born priest summoned by the Vatican<\/a> to serve as the \u201cdevil\u2019s advocate\u201d in the investigation of Pope John Paul II<\/a>\u2019s life and potential path to sainthood. Set after the pontiff\u2019s death on April 2, 2005, the film follows Murolo as he interviews confidantes and witnesses, navigating a \u201cmoral labyrinth\u201d that ultimately puts his own faith to the test.<\/p>\n
