Netflix has greenlit a new sequel series, titled \u201cA Different World<\/a>,\u201d from Debbie Allen<\/a>, who will return as a director and EP, and Felicia Pride<\/a>, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Original writers Reggie Rock Bythewood<\/a> and Gina Prince-Bythewood<\/a> will also return to executive produce alongside Mandy Summers<\/a> and Tom Werner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new series will follow free-spirited freshman Deborah Wayne<\/a>, the youngest daughter of Dwayne Wayne<\/a> and Whitney Gilbert, who setting out to build her own legacy alongside a whole new generation of Hillman\u2019s best and brightest, per the official logline. The first season of the single-camera comedy will consist of 10 half-hour episodes.<\/p>\n
